Our Vision
Screendm is built around six core pillars. Each one names a different group the platform is built for, with students at the centre and every other audience built around what students make.
Built for students
A place to find people working in your discipline or far outside it, share work without it sinking into a feed nobody scrolls, give and get useful feedback, and meet collaborators you'd never normally cross paths with. Education without the walls between courses, departments, or universities.
Prospective students
When you're choosing where to study, you want to see what students are actually making, not the polished showreel from the open day. Screendm gives applicants an honest view of what's being made across UK universities right now, and opens that view to prospective students anywhere.
Academic value
Lecturers and course leaders can track cross-institutional patterns, find emerging work, and encourage collaboration that wouldn't otherwise happen. Verified academic accounts let staff build their own networks across institutions in a space that belongs to them.
University recruitment
Creative departments get an authentic way to show what their teaching produces. Not a brochure. Not a curated showcase. The actual ongoing work of their students, visible and continuously updated.
Industry alignment
Recruiters and creative organisations get structured access to emerging talent at the point it's emerging, not two years after graduation. Students get their work in front of industry at the moment it matters, on their own terms.
Alumni involvement
Graduating shouldn't mean disappearing. Alumni stay close to the community they came up in, mentor the people coming after them, share opportunities, and keep the relationships they spent years building.
All six come together in Screendm. A space where UK creative work gets seen, and where being seen actually leads somewhere. The digital home for creative talent across the UK.
