Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Screendm. By creating an account you confirm that you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Screendm.

Who we are

Screendm is a platform for creative students and academics, operated by Screen Origins Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13745377), with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@screendm.co.uk.

A private testing phase

Screendm is currently in a private testing phase. We are still building and improving it, so features may change, appear, or be removed, and the service is provided on an "as is" basis. We may pause or withdraw the service, and if we end the testing phase we may close test accounts, as described in our Privacy Policy. We will give you reasonable notice where we can.

Eligibility

Screendm is intended for students and academics in the UK creative sector. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and you must provide accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post, including your posts, projects, comments, messages, and profile. By posting content to Screendm you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display that content for the sole purpose of operating and providing the platform to you and other users. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the content has been shared with others (for example a message in another person's inbox) or where we must retain it to comply with the law.

You are responsible for the content you post. You must have the rights to post it, and it must not infringe anyone else's intellectual property or other rights.

Acceptable use

Screendm is a community for sharing and discussing creative work. To keep it safe, you must not post, send, or share content that:

  • is illegal, or that encourages or facilitates illegal activity;
  • is child sexual abuse material, or that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor in any way;
  • harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks, or intimidates another person;
  • is hateful or discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic;
  • is pornographic, gratuitously violent, or otherwise obscene;
  • impersonates another person, Screendm, or Screendm staff, or is deliberately deceptive;
  • is spam, a scam, or a phishing attempt, or that shares another person's private information without consent (doxxing);
  • contains malware, or that attempts to disrupt, attack, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users' accounts.

Reporting and moderation

If you see content that breaks these rules, please report it using the report option available on posts, comments, profiles, messages, and other content. We review reports and take action where appropriate.

We may, at our discretion, remove or hide content, issue a warning, suspend an account temporarily, or ban an account permanently where these terms are broken. Serious or illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, will be removed and, where required, reported to the relevant authorities. We aim to apply these rules consistently and proportionately.

Ending your use of Screendm

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. You can choose to delete all of your content, or to anonymise your account so your content remains but is no longer attributed to you. We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms or if we are required to by law.

Availability and liability

Screendm is provided "as is" during this early phase. We work hard to keep it available and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform develops. If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use Screendm after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
